Public Insurance Adjuster, Self-Employed
Preparation, presentation, negotiation, and settlement of the policyholder’s large loss insurance claim. Licensed originally as a Public Insurance Adjuster in Arizona since 2010, I have represented policyholders on a part time basis from 2010 to December 2021. This went fulltime from January 2022 to present. With the success I enjoyed in Arizona, I recently updated my California “Independent Adjuster” license to that of “Public Insurance Adjuster” in September of 2022. I most recently added my Nevada Public Insurance Adjuster license.
Executive General Adjuster, Farmers Insurance Group
Assigned large first‑party property losses, throughout the Southwestern states, from November, 2001, to November, 2021. Investigated, negotiated and settled building damages, personal belongings, and additional living expenses.
Superior skill in writing own building estimates, utilizing Xactimate. The typical assigned building exposure averaged $200,000 to $300,000, with the largest ever handled being over $8,000,000. The building portion of the claim is settled with the policyholder, and, if they wish, with their contractor or other representative, in terms of scope and price.
While onsite, arranged for and orchestrated the pack out crew for personal belongings that are salvageable. The salvageable contents are taken to the contents vendor to be cleaned, stored and later packed back once the building damages have been completed. Dictates own contents total loss list onsite, which is then typed up and priced out by our third-party vendor, utilizing XactContents. After reviewing and evaluating the XactContents list, I settled the total loss portion of our customer’s personal belongings claim.
Arranged emergency temporary housing for the homeowner so they have a place to stay during the necessary repair period. This usually means an initial hotel stay, followed up within a week or two with more suitable temporary and comparable housing.
Arranged consultation meeting with origin and cause investigator to explore all subrogation avenues for every case, including E&O cases where an agent may have bound an ineligible risk.

Franchise Owner, State-Licensed Multi‑line Executive General Adjuster, Frontier Adjusters of Bakersfield, California, from September 25, 1995 to November 15, 2001. “Qualified Manager” of Independent Adjusting Firm, servicing insurance carriers as their investigative eyes and ears in the field. The field investigations I conducted supplied my clients (insurance carriers) the documentation and other information needed to settle their assigned claims in-house. The cases I investigated included, but were not limited to, auto accidents, commercial truck accidents, industrial accidents, slip and falls, food poisoning claims, medical malpractice claims, property damage claims, third-party injury claims relating to traveling carnival rides, E&O exposures, construction defect claims, and more. The documentation I secured and supplied to the in-house adjuster included scene investigations, statements from the insureds, claimants, independent witnesses and other relevant information that aided the in-house adjuster settle their bodily injury and property damage claims. I would also determine the value of property damage that may have occurred relating to these losses. I would investigate various defenses such as intervening causes of a given loss that might serve the carrier as a claim defense against claims that are not otherwise warranted. I would secure medical records related to the loss to substantiate and aid in the evaluation of the alleged injuries. Upon receipt of a new assignment, my clients would receive an acknowledgement letter to advise our acceptance of the assigned field assignment. The result of my field investigation was then communicated to my client via a formal report, which enclosed photographs, statement tapes, scene diagrams, medical records, police and other reports, and other relevant information secured during my investigation.
